　　Design. The subONE is just like our Mod1X and Mod2X satellites - it is designed with the highest quality components to produce the biggest sound from the smallest possible enclosure.

　　Small subwoofer, big sound. There are two ways to make a subwoofer produce bass. The first is to use a large enclosure and a less expensive driver and amplifier. This is the option taken by many of the mass market companies who need to keep costs down because of the hefty markups of their products on the way to the retail shelf. The second option is to use a smaller enclosure, a better amplifier and a higher quality driver. Obviously, since Orb Audio designs and manufactures high quality, small satellites, we chose the second path when we designed the subONE. We started with a sturdy, heavy duty cabinet, but limited it's size to about one foot square so that it would not eat up all the space you saved by choosing our speakers. Then, we added a fantastic amplifier and a custom driver, which together can move a lot of air and produce deep, tight realistic bass.
